Intermediate Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: South Dublin
A well-established residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality housing developments across Dublin is seeking an Intermediate Project Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects while working alongside an experienced commercial team on large-scale residential developments. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of the commercial function, with excellent opportunities for career progression.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the commercial management of residential construction projects from inception through to final account.
- Prepare cost plans, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Procure subcontractor packages, including preparing tender enquiries, analysing returns and making recommendations.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and assist with financial forecasting.
- Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Assess and value variations.
- Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
- Liaise with site management, design teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3–6 years' Quantity Surveying experience within construction.
- Residential experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and cost management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative commercial team.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
