Equipment Project Engineer

We are currently looking for an Equipment Project Engineer (Production Equipment) to join a leading biopharmaceutical company in Co Waterford. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineering professional to oversee and deliver key equipment and facility projects within a highly regulated environment. Based remotely with a focus on project delivery, you will play a vital role in supporting production upgrades, CQV activities, and GMP-compliant operations to ensure smooth manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance are embedded throughout. This is an initial 12 month contract with possible extension. Key Duties And Responsibilities Your duties as the Equipment Project Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Manage end-to-end project delivery including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and compliance.
• Lead design reviews, ensuring alignment with URS, GMP/GDP, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Oversee procurement processes, equipment acceptance, documentation, and change control.
• Support CQV activities including FATs, protocol reviews, and qualification documentation.
• As the Equipment Project Engineer, you will maintain project governance, reporting, and documentation control to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Role Requirements To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Equipment Project Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in Process, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience (5+ years) leading engineering projects in pharmaceutical or biotech GMP environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP, validation lifecycle, cleanroom standards, and aseptic processing.
• Experience with production equipment upgrades, facility projects, and CQV processes.
