Senior Engineer

Job Purpose

At ICS Medical Devices, we design, prototype, and manufacture innovative catheter-based medical device technologies.

As a Senior Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across customer projects, from one-off prototype runs to larger development programmes. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, you will develop and deliver engineering solutions that meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. This role supports projects from concept through validation and process implementation, while contributing to continuous improvement and wider business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation

• Lead the technical delivery of customer projects, from one-off prototype runs to larger development programmes
• Develop practical engineering solutions that meet customer and project requirements
• Contribute technical input from concept through development, testing, validation, and process implementation
• Draw on the most appropriate expertise and experience available across ICS Medical Devices to support technical solutions
• Develop test strategies and methods to support design verification, validation, and process validation
• Prepare protocols, conduct testing, and complete technical reports to a high standard
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes capable of meeting design specifications and supporting efficient production
• Identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and engineering practices

• Ensure all work is completed in line with the ICS Medical Devices quality system and relevant regulatory requirements
• Maintain a strong focus on quality across products, technical work, documentation, and communication
• Take ownership of your technical workstreams and deliver them to a high standard

Required Qualifications And Experience

• Degree in Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
• Proven technical capability within an engineering environment
• Ability to understand and communicate catheter technology effectively with both customers and internal teams
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage effectively with colleagues, customers, and cross-functional teams
• Team-oriented approach with flexibility, responsiveness, and a strong focus on delivery
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience in catheter assembly technologies
• SolidWorks proficiency
• Advanced degree in Engineering
• Experience working in an SME or start-up environment
