Position
Electrical Apprentice (4-Year Apprenticeship)
This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical and technical skills while working within a modern food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work alongside qualified electricians and maintenance personnel and receive structured on-the-job and off-the-job training leading to a nationally recognised Electrical Qualification/Trade Qualification.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Carry out day-to-day electrical duties within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Assist and take direction from supervisors, trainers, and qualified electricians.
- Prepare and maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Transport and organise materials and equipment as required.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring systems and equipment.
- Use measuring equipment and hand tools to complete electrical installations and maintenance work.
- Follow all electrical safety standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Work towards achieving the Electrical Qualification/Trade Qualification through the national apprenticeship programme.
- Attend and successfully complete all off-the-job training phases.
- Complete all required on-the-job training modules.
- Successfully complete all apprenticeship assessments and trade examinations.
- Maintain the required standard of performance throughout the apprenticeship.
- Complete all company-mandated training.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.
