Our client is a well-established Structural Steel Contractor delivering high-quality steelwork solutions across Ireland and the UK.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Design / BIM Coordinator to join their team.
The Role
You’ll coordinate the design and BIM process from initial concept through to fabrication and installation, working closely with engineers, architects, clients, subcontractors and the internal project team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating structural steel designs and BIM models.
- Producing and reviewing detailed drawings and 3D models.
- Managing design information and ensuring drawings are issued accurately and on programme.
- Liaising with engineers, architects, clients and site teams.
- Identifying and resolving design clashes and technical issues.
- Supporting fabrication and site teams with technical information.
- Ensuring projects comply with relevant standards and specifications.
The Person
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in structural steel, steel fabrication or construction.
- Strong knowledge of BIM and 3D modelling.
- Experience with Tekla Structures, Revit or similar software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- A strong understanding of the design-to-fabrication process.
