Cloud Architect – Galway City

Our client, a well-established global SaaS concern managing over 110k communities, payment processing (annually in excess of billions of Euro) and online presence amongst other areas has engaged IT Search to speak to Cloud Architects in the Connacht region.

This role will suit an ambitious senior engineer with experience across both AWS and Azure who is looking to move into a role that gives responsibility for designing cloud solutions that are secure, scalable and continuously improving.

The role:

• Working across infrastructure and development to implement cloud based solutions
• Manage, refine and improve existing architecture, bringing best practice design
• Ongoing project work including automation of pipelines, expanding Kubernetes efficacy
• Acting as internal SME on AWS and Azure projects, integrating compliance and security thinking into each deployment and maintenance step
• Input and ownership on documentation, architecture review and board level reporting

Requirements:

• Ability to be based onsite on a hybrid basis in Galway city
• 12 years of commercial experience in cloud work, exposure to both AWS and Azure to some degree a given
• Post grad certifications in Cloud Architecture desirable alongside ITIL or PCI Compliance experience
• High level of competence in scripting, be it Shell, Bash or Python
• Networking knowledge across Windows and Linux systems alongside cloud deployments for clients as well as various flavours of SQL database required
• Exceptional communication skills, strong background in documentation as well as presenting technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Client relationships within a SaaS environment preferable but not a pre-requisite
