Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to support our global accounting and financial reporting functions. Based in Dublin, this position will play a key hands‑on role within the accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of the commercial aircraft leasing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage elements of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and/or IFRS for internal and external reporting

• Support the preparation of statutory and management reporting under IFRS and US GAAP.

• Interface with external auditors and any other regulatory bodies where necessary.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures and SOX requirements.

• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across departments.

• Support financial systems development and automation to improve scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications /Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACA, or equivalent qualification required.

• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience within aircraft leasing, aviation finance, or capital equipment leasing.

• Strong understanding of lease accounting standards, consolidation, and fair value accounting.

• Strong working knowledge of aviation finance lifecycle, including pre-delivery payments, lease transitions, and residual value considerations.

• Experience with ERP systems (Workday, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.) and financial reporting tools.

• High ethical standards and a track record of integrity and accuracy under pressure.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience in a multinational organisation; familiarity with Japanese ownership structures is an advantage.

Preferred Attributes

• Aviation industry or leasing-specific audit experience (Big 4 or corporate).

• Commercial awareness of airline credit risk, macro trends, and lessor strategy.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment with evolving priorities.
