Company Environmental Officer

We are working with a leading design & build contractor in the data centre sector to appoint a Senior Company Environmental Officer.

This is the main dedicated environmental appointment within the business, responsible for establishing and coordinating environmental delivery across multiple large-scale data centre projects throughout Europe.

The role is based in Ireland, working from the company’s Dublin office, with regular travel to project sites across mainland Europe.

You will act as the central point of coordination for environmental delivery, ensuring client environmental requirements are consistently translated into practical implementation across construction sites.

Scope of the role includes:

• Leading environmental coordination across multiple European projects

• Translating client environmental requirements into site-level controls and delivery actions

• Establishing and maintaining environmental tracking, reporting, and assurance systems

• Coordinating site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across project locations

• Managing environmental data collection and reporting (waste, energy, water, emissions, logistics)

• Supporting construction teams with implementation of controls and corrective actions

• Acting as the key environmental interface between project teams and client stakeholders

Candidate profile:

• 7–10+ years’ experience in construction environmental / EHS roles

• Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure or data centre projects

• Strong understanding of construction-stage environmental compliance and assurance

• Experience operating across multi-site or international project environments

• Ability to balance structured reporting with hands-on project delivery support

• Willingness to travel regularly across European project locations

This is a senior, high-impact appointment within a growing international contractor, offering the opportunity to shape how environmental delivery is coordinated across a major European project portfolio.
