🔹Role summary: This position is responsible for analytical testing of raw materials, intermediate and finished product, validation batches and stability testing, along with associated documentation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Testing of products as instructed by the Laboratory Manager.
  • Line clearance for goods inwards, such as raw materials and packaging.
  • Line clearance for manufactured/packed product.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice and the relevant documented procedure.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is used proficiently and advise on regular checks, according to the calibration and maintenance records.
  • Advise the Quality & Laboratory Supervisor of material and equipment requirements.
  • Engage continually in developing world class practices in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives, including focus groups.
  • Participate in continual further education and learning & development opportunities appropriate to the role, as directed by management.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources at all times and deployment to across the organisation as required.
  • Supply training to new and existing employees in line with business needs.
  • Co-ordinate and complete projects and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Work to ensure the highest level of teamwork and contribute to problem solving and idea generation across the business.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping, health & safety and GMP practices at all times.
  • Maintain the laboratory and carry out tasks in a sustainable manner in line with ‘My Green Lab’ principles.
  • Any other tasks in line with the role as guided by management.

Candidate requirements:

  • A degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical science or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/GMP environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong decision making skills.
