About Larkin Engineering
Larkin Engineering is a family-owned business and market leader in the steel fabrication and street furniture industry in Ireland. Established in 1986 and headquartered in a state-of-the-art 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Tuam, Co. Galway, we design and manufacture durable, customisable street furniture for the public and private sectors — including litter bins, bollards, bicycle shelters, outdoor seating, and bespoke fabrications.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented, driven, and commercially minded Marketing Executive to take full ownership of the marketing function and play a central role in our continued expansion.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role based at our facility in Tuam, Co. Galway. The Marketing & sales Executive will have broad ownership across the full marketing mix — from brand and content to paid media, CRM, and sales support. You will work closely with the Managing Director and wider team to drive lead generation, support the sales pipeline, and raise the profile of Larkin Engineering across key markets.
This is a hands-on, varied role that spans strategy, execution, and day-to-day marketing operations. You will be the primary marketing contact for external agencies, partners, and suppliers, and will be expected to self-manage your workload with a high degree of initiative.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Lead Support
- Work closely with the Sales Team to manage, chase, and follow up on inbound and outbound leads.
- Track leads through the full sales pipeline — from initial enquiry to qualified opportunity — ensuring timely follow-up and no lead goes cold
- Prepare sales-support materials including product brochures, datasheets, quotation collateral, and tender documents
- Assist with tender submissions, specification documents, and bid responses as required
- Support post-sales communication and help identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Campaign & Content Marketing
- Plan, curate, and execute integrated marketing campaigns that promote Larkin Engineering and its full product range across digital and print channels
- Manage and grow our social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms — including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement
- Write and publish SEO-optimised blogs and website content that build brand authority and drive organic traffic
- Create professional marketing assets including product datasheets, brochures, flyers, case studies, and O&M Manuals
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and automated nurture workflows
- Support event marketing, trade shows, and industry exhibitions — including pre- and post-event promotion
Paid Media & Digital Advertising
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimise paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and LinkedIn
- Monitor campaign performance, adjust targeting and budgets, and report on ROI
- Develop LinkedIn-specific ad campaigns targeting specifiers, procurement teams, local authorities, and developers
Website & SEO
- Manage and maintain the company website via WordPress / WooCommerce, including product pages, landing pages, and blog content
- Liaise with the external web development agency, keeping projects on track, holding them to agreed timelines, and escalating where necessary
- Own the day-to-day SEO strategy — keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO monitoring, and performance reporting via Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
CRM & Marketing Operations
- Manage lead capture, CRM workflows, contact lifecycle stages, and pipeline visibility
- Maintain clean and structured CRM data — ensuring contacts, companies, and deals are accurately tracked
- Handle day-to-day marketing operations including asset management, campaign scheduling, vendor liaison, and tool administration
- Track, analyse, and report on key marketing KPIs and campaign performance metrics to inform ongoing strategy
- Leverage AI tools (Claude, Gemini) to streamline content creation, research, and campaign workflows
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in a digital or multi-channel marketing role
• A self-starter who takes ownership, manages their own workload, and gets things done without hand-holding
• Knowledge of or experience in the construction, manufacturing, or engineering industry is a strong advantage
• Confident across key marketing tools — Google Ads, Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, Canva, and Microsoft Clarity
• Experience running paid search and LinkedIn ad campaigns, with a track record of managing budgets and reporting on performance
• Strong written communication skills — able to produce high-quality blogs, product copy, and marketing collateral
• Technically capable and comfortable learning new platforms and tools independently
• Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) to improve productivity and output quality
• Strong attention to detail with a good eye for design and brand consistency
• Ability to liaise confidently with external agencies and suppliers, and hold them accountable to deadlines
• A genuine interest in marketing as a growth function — someone who connects activity to commercial outcomes
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred
Why Join Larkin Engineering?
• Full ownership of the marketing function in an established, growing Irish business
• A role where your work will be visible, valued, and directly tied to business growth
• Close collaboration with senior leadership and a hands-on sales team
• A supportive, family-oriented workplace with a strong culture and long tenure
• The opportunity to build something — not just maintain it
