Finance Manager – Global International Law Firm
The Opportunity:
A leading global international law firm based in Dublin 2 is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to lead its finance function in the Dublin office.
This is a key leadership role within the Finance team, offering the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance, strengthen financial control and support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will take ownership of financial planning, reporting and performance management while leading and developing a small finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join an internationally recognised organisation with strong opportunities for career development and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with lawyers and partners to improve financial performance, including billing, profitability and cost management.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Monitor and drive performance across key financial metrics, including billing, cash collection, work in progress (WIP) and debt.
- Oversee financial control, compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and banking partners.
- Prepare and review business cases for strategic initiatives and partner hires.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and ensure alignment with firm-wide standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Strategy and Business Development.
- Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team, supporting ongoing performance and professional development.
About You:
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Experience within professional services or a global organisation; law firm experience is desirable.
- Solid understanding of financial control, financial reporting and compliance.
- Proven experience managing and developing a team.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Concur or Power BI would be advantageous.
