Health & Safety Manager – ConnachtLocation: Connacht Region (4 days on site across Connacht, 1 day in Galway or Limerick office)

Salary: €90,000 – €95,000 + Company Vehicle + 15% Bonus

An established Mechanical & Electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee multiple projects across the Connacht region.

This is a regional leadership role with responsibility for driving best-in-class safety standards across live construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, project teams and site leadership to ensure full compliance, continuous improvement and a strong behavioural safety culture.

The position will involve four days per week visiting sites across Connacht and one day per week based in either the Galway or Limerick office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage health and safety performance across multiple live projects
• Develop, implement and continuously improve company HSEQ systems and procedures
• Provide visible leadership and promote a proactive safety culture on all sites
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections and risk assessments
• Ensure full compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and industry standards
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Advise senior management and project teams on all H&S matters
• Deliver training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety management role
• Background within a Mechanical & Electrical contractor environment is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and construction regulations
• Proven experience managing multiple sites simultaneously
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (Degree or Diploma level preferred)
• Full clean driving licence
