Mater Private Cork have an exciting opportunity for Medical SHOs to join our Mater Private Network Team for July 2026. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established network while continuing your professional development in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities And Deliverables

• Follow the Hospital admissions process by documenting History and Physical examination using the designated Initial Medical Assessment Form.
• Assess/review and document findings for patients as requested by the attending Consultant and/or Nursing Staff in a timely manner.
• To review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made and inform the consultant or relevant registrar of any issues or problems.
• Prescribe medications for patients as required i.e. as directed by consultant.
• Participate in ward rounds.
• Complete the discharge process with an electronic discharge letter.
• To assist in the education of colleagues, medical students, and staff.
• Respond to any adverse occurrences e.g., injuries, falls, sudden illnesses etc suffered by patients, visitors, or staff.
• Contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives wherever possible.
• Engage in technological developments as they apply to the patient and service administration.

Skills & Qualifications

• Registration with IMC
• Irish healthcare experience desirable
