Project Manager (SAP) – Fund Management Transformation

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Domain Consulting expertise in Fund Management to lead a finance, planning, and reporting transformation programme. This role will drive end-to-end delivery leveraging SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Datasphere, ensuring integrated, data-driven planning and reporting.

You will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring solutions align with fund management operations, regulatory requirements, and strategic decision-making needs.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of finance and planning transformation initiatives.
• Define scope, plan execution, and govern timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Conduct business and technical assessments across planning, reporting, and procurement.
• Manage integration of SAP S/4HANA, SAC, and Datasphere for unified data and reporting.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and solution alignment.
• Oversee change management, including communication, training, and adoption.
• Collaborate with architects and SMEs to validate functional and technical designs.
• Provide executive reporting and project status updates.

Domain Consulting (Fund Management)

• Lead workshops across finance, fund management, investment, and operations teams.
• Define planning models, including AUM-based fee income (fund, share class, ISIN).
• Support design of P&L structures, cost allocation, and profitability analysis.
• Contribute to workforce, project, and capex planning.
• Enable scenario modelling and “what-if” analysis (market, cost, growth).
• Define KPIs, management dashboards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Validate business assumptions and ensure accuracy of outputs.
• Produce clear functional documentation and support user adoption.

Your Profile

Essential

• Strong experience in project management within financial services or asset management.
• Deep understanding of fund management, financial planning, and reporting.
• Proven delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance or planning transformations.
• Knowledge of SAP Datasphere (data modelling and integration).
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional and global teams.
• Background in fund management, asset management operations, or financial planning.
• Solid understanding of AUM-based models, fund structures, and cost allocation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Exposure to regulatory and management reporting in asset management/BFSI.

Desirable

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (planning/reporting).
• Background in planning transformation or modernisation programmes.
• Familiarity with VAT compliance and procurement transformation.
• Exposure to enterprise planning/reporting tools.

This is a 12 Month contract. Based in Dublin, Ireland. Hybrid (3 day a week on site). Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland/EU.
