The Impact

You will spearhead specific company-driven sales campaigns and use your own initiative to secure larger commercial accounts across the province. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Director of Broking, you will have a direct line to leadership and a major say in regional growth strategy.

Instead of just managing a basic portfolio, you will build trusted, long-term relationships with businesses, acting as a true partner to help them navigate complex risks. You will collaborate with extensive internal regional resources—from Account Directors to Business Enablement Teams—to ensure your pipeline converts into high-value partnerships.

Foundations for Success

To thrive in this senior market placement, you need an innate understanding of how to balance price and risk for larger entities. The technical and regulatory baselines include:

• Professional Qualifications: A CIP qualification, ideally with clear progress made toward your ACII.
• Regulatory Compliance: Full compliance with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity standards.
• Market Experience: Proven experience in commercial new business development backed by substantial technical insurance knowledge.
• Relationship Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills that allow you to build immediate rapport with business leaders and underwriters alike.
