We are currently seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to manage a varied portfolio of small-to-medium enterprise clients. Working alongside a collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality client service, maintaining financial records, and bringing accounts to full completion.

While previous Accountancy Practice experience is preferred, it is not essential—making this an ideal opportunity for a skilled accountant looking to transition into practice or step up in their career.

What’s on Offer?

  • Career Growth: Clear opportunity to progress your career within an established firm.
  • Flexible Working: Modern hybrid working arrangement once established in the role.
  • Supportive Environment: Work closely within a small, collaborative team.
  • Location: Cork City

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies and bring sole trader accounts to final completion.
  • Bookkeeping & Systems: Maintain accurate financial records using computerized accounting software.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile control accounts regularly.
  • Tax & Compliance: Produce VAT reports, handle ROS filings, and liaise directly with Revenue Commissioners.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for client queries, building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate and report seamlessly within a close-knit team environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Software Expertise: Proven experience using computerized accounting software packages and proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Accounts Completion: Demonstrated ability to handle accounts from start to final sign-off.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident, client-focused approach.
  • Ambitious Mindset: A strong drive to learn, develop, and progress within the firm.
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice is advantageous, but strong industry candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply!
