Site Manager / Project Manager – Civil Engineering

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager to oversee a civil engineering project in Millstreet, Co. Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading main contractor on a delivering a key infrastructure project for a high-profile client.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact on site, coordinating subcontractors and liaising directly with the client.

Project Scope

The project includes:

• Bulk excavation
• Groundworks
• Retaining walls
• Kerbing
• Tarmac works
• Fencing
• Construction of new car parks

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors.
• Liaise directly with the client and project stakeholders.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on schedule and within quality standards.
• Monitor programme and progress on site.
• Organise labour, plant and materials.
• Maintain site records and report project progress.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager on civil engineering projects.
• Strong background in groundworks and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme delivery.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Full driving licence.
