NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday This is a permanent post and will be based within the Clyde Sector. Applications are invited for a Consultant Haematologist post for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GG&C), based at Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH), Paisley with support to Inverclyde Royal Hospital (IRH), Greenock and Vale of Leven. We are looking for a motivated individual to join the team of Haematology consultants in Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The successful applicant will be based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, and will help support laboratory and clinical services across the Clyde region. They will be part of a team of consultants working across Clyde in busy hospitals to meet day case, outpatient, inpatient, consultative and laboratory commitments. The successful applicant will be involved in the on-going development of Clinical & Laboratory Haematology services for GG&C and will have the opportunity of developing a special interest commensurate with the needs of the service. on- You should be appropriately experienced and qualified in the specialty, fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practice. Those trained in the should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview.
