NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

The Role

Exciting opportunity to join a large multi-disciplinary neurodevelopmental service. You will be supported to develop your clinical practice, skills and understanding of children and young people with a neurodevelopmental profile and provide interventions under the supervision of senior clinicians.

In This Key Role, You Will

  • Advise and recommend the use of prescribable preparations and nutritional products for the treatment of patients as appropriate. Ensure supplies of products reach his/her patients through instruction to diet chefs verbally and through maintenance of the diet therapy ordering system. Also, be responsible for reporting any stock discrepancies to the dietetic services manager e.g. out of date stock, reduction in stock items or lack of stock items.
  • Keep accurate and concise records of clinical interventions, advice given and outcome decisions taken as per professional code of conduct and departmental guidelines.

What You'll Bring

  • Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
  • The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team

A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

What We Offer

As a valued employee of NHS Lanarkshire, you can enjoy an extensive range of benefits including:

  • Generous NHS pension scheme
  • Annual incremental salary progression
  • Paid sick leave increasing with length of service
  • NHS discounts and more.

NHS Lanarkshire is dedicated to building a diverse workforce where everyone can thrive, develop, and succeed based on their skills, knowledge, and talent - regardless of race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or care experience* or any other dimension that can be used to differentiate people from one another.
