An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading structural steelwork company delivering large-scale projects across the data centre and pharmaceutical sectors. This is a key commercial role, offering involvement in high-value, technically complex builds from pre-construction through to final account.

This position requires strong experience within structural steelwork, with a solid understanding of commercial processes in fast-paced, high-spec environments such as data centers and pharmaceutical facilities.

What you’ll do:

💰 Manage project costs from tender stage through to final account

📊 Prepare, review, and negotiate valuations, variations, and final accounts

📐 Work closely with design, project, and site teams to ensure commercial efficiency

🤝 Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage costs and contracts

📉 Monitor budgets, forecasts, and project financial performance

✔ Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities

📅 Attend project meetings and provide commercial updates to stakeholders

🔧 Support procurement and subcontractor management throughout the project lifecycle

You’ll need:

✔ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steelwork

✔ Experience working on data centers and/or pharmaceutical projects

✔ Strong understanding of contracts, commercial management, and cost control

✔ Experience managing subcontractors and supplier packages

✔ Excellent negotiation and communication skills

✔ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

✔ Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness

✔ Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (preferred)
