Job Overview:
NovintiX is seeking a motivated Automation Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems within a regulated manufacturing environment. The role involves assisting in the planning, design, and execution of automation projects that support new product development and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of automation systems, including modernized and legacy equipment.
- Assist in automation project planning, scheduling, and execution to support manufacturing and new product introduction activities.
- Contribute to automation infrastructure improvements and system reliability enhancements.
- Compile and manage automation project requirements and documentation to support resource planning and maintenance activities.
- Participate in regulatory and compliance assessments, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal procedures.
- Deliver automation project tasks while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Evaluate changes in project scope and assist in assessing potential time and cost impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure effective project execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and system performance.

Education & ExperienceEssential
- Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting or delivering automation projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of quality systems such as FDA and ISO within a regulated environment.
Desirable
- Experience in commissioning and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Experience working in a process engineering or manufacturing engineering environment.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with manufacturing systems and automation infrastructure.
