Job Description – Automation Engineer, 2+ years (Medical Devices / Healthcare Domain)OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Entry to developing individual contributor in a scientific/technology field. Assists with Automation for modernized and legacy systems, infrastructure, and services. Conducts the planning, design, scheduling and control of Automation projects to support new product development. Contributes to key performance indicator achievements and supports company initiatives.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds equipment and control systems and helps determine reliability and need for updates.
- Compiles automation project requirements in support of project resource management and maintenance.
- Coordinates assessments in support of determining regulatory compliance and any necessary improvements for regulation conformity.
- Contributes to automation deliverables and ensures adherence to expected deadlines.
- Analyzes basic changes in scope, including provision of necessary information to support claims for time and cost impact.
- Communicates internally with engineers regarding workflow and project deliverables.
- Understands and applies Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:ESSENTIAL:
- Hons Degree in a Mechanical, Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or Automation discipline.
- Experience in delivery of automation projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
- Working knowledge of quality systems (FDA/ISO) within a regulated environment.
DESIRABLE:
- Commissioning and validation experience
- Experience in a process engineering role
- PLC Programming, Allen bradley/ siemens
- Experience with manufacturing systems
