About the Role
Whether your experience comes from fund accounting, audit, corporate accounting, financial reporting, or another accounting discipline, this role provides an opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic investment management environment. Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely resolution of queries and issues in accordance with agreed service levels.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.
Technical Oversight & Development
- Provide daily support to colleagues across locations to promote collaboration and team productivity.
- Train and develop Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants through coaching, reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of client services.
NAV Calculation & Review
- Review and approve NAV calculations for multiple funds, ensuring a high level of accuracy and timely delivery.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of NAV calculations on an exception basis, as required to meet client deliverables.
- Prepare, review and coordinate regulatory reporting requirements, including Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Identify recurring NAV issues and work with relevant stakeholders to implement solutions and process improvements.
Operational Excellence
- Implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, resource allocation and overall service delivery.
- Ensure all processes and activities are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assist with the onboarding of complex funds and support operational transitions where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving team performance and client outcomes.
Audit and Financial Statements
- Liaise with auditors, clients and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of audit-related queries.
- Support the delivery of financial reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
- You hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- You have 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, financial reporting, reconciliations, or a similar professional environment.
- Experience in fund accounting, asset management, investment operations, or working with investment companies is advantageous but not required.
- An accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent), or progress towards one, would be a significant advantage.
- You have an interest in financial markets, investment strategies, and financial products, and are motivated to expand your knowledge in these areas.
- You are recognized for your strong communication and relationship-building skills and can confidently explain complex information to a range of audiences.
- You are comfortable working with technology and learning new systems, tools, and processes.
- You have a highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- You enjoy solving problems, investigating exceptions, and finding practical solutions.
- You are capable of working independently, taking ownership of outcomes, and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Whether your background is in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial services, fund accounting, or audit, you bring strong accounting fundamentals, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn complex financial products and processes.
