🔶 Senior Project Engineer — Civil Engineering & Building — Limerick — Permanent
We're hiring on behalf of a long-established Munster contractor working across civil engineering, building, demolition and environmental projects for public and private clients. Two positions available.
The role: Technical ownership of your own section of works, from setting out to handover. This suits an engineer who has outgrown pure setting-out and wants a clear run at project management.
What you'll actually be doing:
🏗️ Owning a defined section of works from setting out through to handover
🏗️ Producing short-term programmes, method statements and temporary works
🏗️ Managing quality and compliance — ITPs, records, as-builts, snagging
🏗️ Supervising site engineers and graduates, coordinating crews and subcontractors
🏗️ Handling technical queries with the design team and client representative
🏗️ Keeping site records straight — diaries, dayworks, progress measurement
What we need:
✅ Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
✅ 4+ years' site engineering experience on Irish projects
✅ Strong setting out — total station and GPS
✅ Working knowledge of temporary works and construction H&S
✅ Safe Pass and CSCS
Nice to have:
⭐ Temporary Works Coordinator training
⭐ Demolition or environmental project experience
⭐ Public works contract experience
The reality of the role: You'll be given a section and expected to run it. Plenty of support, but the technical calls are yours to make — and this is a genuine route to PM, not a holding pattern.
📍 Limerick — on-site. Permanent. Excellent salary and package on offer, commensurate with experience.
