Location: Galway Position: Site Manager

The Opportunity

Our client, one of Ireland's leading Tier 1 main contractors, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their Galway team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on major residential and mixed-use developments across Galway, including flagship schemes such as the €63m Coolough Student Accommodation development and the landmark Crown Square mixed-use project.

These projects offer exposure to large-scale, high-value construction, with long-term opportunities to progress your career while delivering some of the West of Ireland's most significant developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour and site personnel.

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, RAMS and site inductions.

• Monitor construction progress against programme, identifying and resolving any delays.

• Maintain quality assurance standards through inspections, ITPs and QA documentation.

• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and design team to ensure successful project delivery.

• Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries and programme sequencing.

• Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and progress reports.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and other stakeholders.

• Drive a positive safety culture while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and site presentation.

Requirements

• Construction-related Degree or equivalent qualification.

• 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK.

• Proven experience delivering €10m+ construction projects.

• Previous experience on residential, student accommodation, commercial or mixed-use developments is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and quality management systems.

• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining programme and quality objectives.
