Responsibilities

Global Design Applications Leadership & Governance

  • Act as PM Group Expert for the Revit product, driving innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Own and maintain the Global Revit Template, libraries, discipline-specific families, and shared parameter standards.
  • Govern Revit configuration, view templates, sheet standards, and modelling conventions to support all disciplines.
  • Maintain ownership of Revit application health, performance, configuration, standards, release readiness, issue trends, and optimisation priorities.
  • Ensure alignment with Group BIM Standards, model QA protocols, and ISO 19650 principles.
  • Support version control procedures, release testing, deployment readiness, and controlled rollout of new Revit releases and updates.
  • Ensure Revit and associated plug-ins, add-ins, and integrations comply with PM Group IT and Security standards prior to approval and deployment.
  • Determine and communicate latest minimum and optimal hardware requirements.

Model Coordination & Lifecycle Enablement

  • Enable cross-discipline model coordination, ensuring Revit output integrates cleanly with Navisworks, Plant 3D, and downstream tools.
  • Manage technical escalations with Autodesk for significant Revit application and project issues, ensuring appropriate investigation, resolution, and communication across affected project teams.
  • Enable full lifecycle data continuity by validating shared parameters, metadata structures, tagging conventions, and schedule data.
  • Collaborate with Construction, Process, and CQV teams to ensure Revit data supports 4D, sequencing, installation workflows, asset tagging, and commissioning handover requirements. Support CDE workflows and ensure consistent Revit-to-Forma integration.

Application Support & Productivity Enablement

  • Work with Application Support Technicians to coordinate resolution of user issues, performance problems, family errors, and modelling inconsistencies, ensuring recurring issues are captured and addressed through standards, configuration, support training, or improvement actions.
  • Create a competency test for potential hires and score it on behalf of the recruiting manager.
  • Review, test, and validate new plug-ins, add-ins, and integrations prior to deployment, including discipline automation tools.
  • Develop productivity improvements such as Dynamo scripts, parametric families, and automation workflows that reduce rework and manual effort with the Digital Technologist team.
  • Provide specialist guidance to Digital Technologists, BIM Coordinators, and project teams across all regions.

Training, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and contribute to Revit training materials, onboarding resources, best-practice guides, and full-lifecycle workflows.
  • Deliver training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops aligned with global standards.
  • Gather feedback from users and project teams to identify opportunities for enhancement, standardisation, or configuration changes.
  • Run Revit Clinics for BIM Principal Designers.
  • Report adoption trends, shared challenges, risks, and improvement opportunities to the Group BIM Programme Manager.
  • Act as product SME for assigned applications, maintaining awareness of vendor roadmaps, emerging features, automation opportunities, and future capability improvements.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in Revit modelling, coordination, and multi-discipline project delivery, preferably across Architecture, MEP, Structural, and Process.
  • Strong understanding of families, worksharing, templates, and Revit-to-ACC workflows.
  • Experience supporting coordinated model delivery for Construction, Design, or CQV teams is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650, model QA processes, CDE workflows, and federated model structures. Experience with Dynamo or Python scripting is beneficial.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in enabling and delivering innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support global teams.

Success Measures

  • Measurable improvement in global adoption of approved Revit templates, families, and workflows. Reduction in recurring model, drawing, family, and configuration issues across disciplines.
  • Improved project start-up efficiency through controlled standards, templates, and deployment readiness. Improved application reliability, performance, and readiness through proactive monitoring of issue trends, configuration quality, and release impacts.
  • Evidence of alignment with ISO 19650 principles, Group BIM Standards, and digital delivery frameworks through QA reviews and governance checks.
  • Positive feedback from project teams, BIM Coordinators, and discipline leads.
