Area Manager – Carlow & Portlaoise

Our client, one of Europe's leading grocery retailers with over 40 years of successful growth and expansion, is looking for an experienced Area Manager to oversee stores across Carlow and Portlaoise.

Sounds great! What will my day-to-day look like?

• Management of a district with line manager responsibility for all Store Managers within your district
• Developing, supporting and coaching of Store Managers within your district
• Analysing and optimising stock movements
• Completing district tours with the Sales Executive
• Completing regular cash management checks
• Creating and implementing annual business plans for your district
• Planning KPIs and store staffing structure for your district
• Preparing for and participating in Area Manager meetings

Sounds great, what makes me eligible?

• You have or expect to attain a minimum of a 2.1 degree in any discipline or a minimum of three years of management experience
• Excellent communication, planning, organisation and analytical skills
• A full clean driving licence
• Organised, flexible, motivated and a hard-working leader
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interest in developing a career in retail

What You'll Receive

• €78,000* starting salary for a Trainee Area Manager
• Salary progression from €89,500 up to €121,000 within three years
