Construction Superintendent

Position Overview:

Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a major civil engineering infrastructure project located in North Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to lead project delivery for a high-profile development, managing critical work packages while maintaining strict safety, quality, and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise site operations and coordinate assigned work packages from commencement through completion
• Drive commercial performance to maximise contract value and profitability
• Support the Project Manager in achieving successful project outcomes and deliverables
• Lead collaboration between foremen, site engineers, and subcontractor teams
• Maintain zero-defect quality standards throughout all project phases
• Develop and implement project programmes, risk assessments, method statements, and inspection/test plans
• Chair daily coordination meetings and progress reviews
• Support procurement activities and material planning processes
• Prepare comprehensive monthly progress reports for management and client presentations

Required Qualifications:

• Third-level degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Site Agent or Senior Engineer
• Proven track record with main contractors or specialist subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, MS Project, and presentation software
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management capabilities
• Problem-solving skills with ability to challenge designs and implement solutions
