Description:

We are currently recruiting an Administrator to join the Estimating Department of my client. The Estimating Department is responsible for delivering detailed, accurate, and timely estimates and tenders in accordance with established procedures and client specifications, with the objective of securing work orders for the business. The Administrator will provide essential support to the Estimating Team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Job Type: Full Time, 1-Year Contract (possibly of extension)

Responsibilities:

  • Register and record all drawings and Bills of Quantities received by the department in line with my client’s established procedures.
  • Input all relevant project information accurately into internal systems and databases.
  • Photocopy and reproduce drawings and Bills of Quantities as required for distribution and record-keeping.
  • Issue drawings and other tender documentation to subcontractors and suppliers to solicit quotations for various work packages.
  • Follow up with subcontractors and suppliers via telephone, email, or other communication channels to ensure timely receipt of quotations and any outstanding information.
  • Undertake various ad hoc administrative duties to support the Estimating Team and ensure smooth department operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience within a construction or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a busy department.
