We're looking for a Cheesemonger to join our Bandon Road (Bishopstown Court) location with full time positions available. No previous cheesemongering experience is needed - just a genuine passion for food, great conversation, and a willingness to learn.
At Sheridans Cheesemongers, we believe selling cheese is about much more than serving at a counter. It's about connecting people with the producers behind the food, sharing stories, recommending pairings, and creating memorable customer experiences.
You'll receive full in-house training, gain hands-on experience with Irish and European artisan food, and have real opportunities for career progression within the company.

What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers and delivering exceptional service in a lively retail environment
- Sharing knowledge about Irish and European artisan cheeses, foods, and producers
- Recommending flavours, pairings, and products with confidence
- Caring for cheese to ensure it is presented and sold at its very best
- Maintaining attractive product displays and signage throughout the day
- Receiving deliveries and organising stock correctly
- Supporting stock rotation and reducing waste
- Maintaining food safety standards, HACCP records, and allergen awareness
- Keeping counters, fridges, and storage areas clean and well organised
- Assisting with seasonal displays, including hampers
- Previous retail or food experience is helpful, but not essential
- A strong interest in artisan food, cheese, and local producers
- Friendly, confident communication and listening skills
- A positive, outgoing personality
- Ability to stay organised and calm in a busy environment
- Good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and happy working as part of a team
