Senior Extrusion EngineerAbout Your New Employer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Extrusion Engineer with strong medical device experience.

This is a permanent job based onsite in Galway, Ireland.

About Your New Job

  • As the Senior Extrusion Engineer, you will oversee, implement and optimise extrusion processes to ensure high-quality production of medical devices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing, to support new product development and existing product enhancements.
  • You will lead and develop a group of experienced Technicians working with the Manufacturing area.
  • Address and resolve technical issues related to extrusion processes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all processes comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.

What Skills You Need

  • Level 8 NFQ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Polymer, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related field.
  • 7+ years experience in extrusion engineering.
  • Medical device experience is essential for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of extrusion processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
