Electrical Estimator

Join STS Group as our next Electrical Estimator Part of the Dussman Group of companies, STS Group is a well-established electrical and instrumentation engineering contractor offering design, installation and commissioning services across Ireland, UK, Europe and the Middle East. The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team focused on mission critical projects (pharma/data centres). The successful applicant will work closely with other team members to price projects accurately and effectively, ensuring the sharpest price and the required outcome(s) for our client. This role will be preferably based in Waterford but candidates in commutable distance to our Dublin (Tallaght) or Cork (Little Island) offices will also be considered. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, here are some of the key duties of this role:

• Pricing a wide variety of interesting mission-critical projects (life science, data centre, healthcare and pharma) in Ireland and overseas
• Tendering a project from start through to submission
• Prepare detailed take offs & estimates, taking into account all the relevant drawings, specifications & related documentation
• Liaise closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure cost efficiency
• Attending pre & post tender reviews
• Handover meeting with operations upon award of successful projects
• Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team

Key Qualifications Required

• Electrical trade or tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
• 3+ years postgraduate experience in the construction sector, pricing electrical packages of work
• Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
• Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly present findings.
• Good communication skills and high computer literacy.
