Job DescriptionPosition Title: HR Business Partner Reporting to: Managing Director of Structure Tone International Function/Department: Human Resources Position Description We are seeking a talented and experienced HR Business Partner to support the growth of our international division. The HR Business Partner provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers to support the business’s vision, mission and overall objectives. Additionally, your work will span the full employee lifecycle—from labor relations to performance management and organizational design. Key Responsibilities
- Change Agent:
- Manage culture forward at the pace desired by management
- Facilitate feedback and driving process improvements with a focus on lean methodologies.
- Continuous improvement through learning, training & development
- Proactively anticipate and address HR-related risks and opportunities
- Ensuring leadership understands their role in achieving organizational goals by effectively communicating strategic direction.
- Act as business unit liaison to other departments in the organization: Learning & Leadership Development, Recruiting, and Marketing
- Act as compensation consultant to senior managers and administrator of compensation changes.
- Employee Relations:
- Address labor relations matters, mediate workplace issues, and maintain strong relationships with trade professionals.
- Advise leadership on correction action (progressive discipline) for employee’s misconduct, employee performance issues, serious violations of the company policies
- Partner with the broader Human Resources and Recruiters to identify needs and utilize new and existing resources to creatively meet business needs
- Offers guidance and input on division restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Training Oversight:
- Training and development programs to be designed and implemented in full coordination with corporate staff initiatives such as:
- Management Training & Professional Staff Development
- IT Skills Training
- Support Staff Enhancement Programs
- Coach, educate, and advise management on HR related policies, procedures, compensation and benefit programs, employee discipline, and laws pertaining to employee relations to ensure consistent and fair treatment of all employees
- Lead special projects in relation to organizational goals and strategies
- Become certified in appropriate learning systems and use platform skills to deliver training modules to targeted groups
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–10 years of Human Resources experience preferably within the AEC industry or a related professional services environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related fields
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to any audience. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills is required
- Integrity: Demonstrated professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects.
- Expertise: Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational risk analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective employment laws
Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
