Healthcare Technician
Location: Wicklow
Salary: €38,000–€40,000 DOE
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Arrangement: Fully on-site with some off site meetings
About the Role
Storm Recruitment is currently seeking a Healthcare Technician on behalf of our client, based in Wicklow.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining healthcare administration, stock and equipment management, consultant coordination and patient support. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service and will regularly interact with patients, healthcare consultants and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Stock & Equipment Management
- Maintain accurate records of all company stock and healthcare equipment.
- Track sleep masks, machines and other equipment, ensuring all items are accounted for and their location/status is known.
- Monitor equipment currently in use, returned to the main office or awaiting allocation.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and identify when replenishment is required.
- Keep inventory records accurate and up to date.
Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants to ensure they are fully informed of schedules, locations and upcoming requirements.
- Ensure any issues are communicated to the appropriate consultant with all relevant information provided.
- Assist consultants in arranging appointments, equipment or other requirements as needed.
- Follow up on outstanding issues to ensure they are resolved efficiently.
Patient & Clinic Support
- Provide support to patients when required, including attending house/home visits.
- Represent the company professionally at clinics held approximately every second week.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with both patients and healthcare consultants.
- Assist with patient queries and ensure a high standard of service at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Irish healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of the Irish healthcare environment.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable dealing directly with patients, consultants and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage stock, equipment and records accurately.
- Full, clean Irish driving licence is essential.
- Comfortable working fully on-site and travelling to patient visits/clinics when required.
- Professional, reliable and highly organised approach.
