The Role
Our client, a well-established company based in Kerry, is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a hands-on, fully on-site role, working directly alongside another in-house engineer to support and develop automation systems across a regulated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will bring strong automation expertise within dairy or wet foods, along with the versatility to support wider engineering needs as they arise.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automation Engineer within the dairy sector or a wet foods manufacturing environment (minimum 5 years experience in a regulated environment)
- Strong mechanical design experience
- Versatility and willingness to support all aspects of engineering when called upon, beyond automation alone
- Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. GMP/HACCP or equivalent)
- A genuinely hands-on approach — this is a hands-on role, fully on-site five days per week
- Comfortable working closely and collaboratively with one other in-house engineer
- Full right to work in Ireland — the company is not in a position to provide visa sponsorship
