About Us

The 4-Star Galmont Hotel & Spa located in the heart of Galway (part of the MHL Hotel Collection) is currently recruiting for a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to support our busy kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who wants to further develop their skills within a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set, monitor and communicate targets and goals for your section and those under your supervision.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with HACCP and food safety guidelines
• Supervise and support your team
• Maintain stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise waste
• Work closely with senior chefs on menu design and concepts for all food and/or bar outlets and catering events. Monitor competitor and industry trends.
• Ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
• Manage rostering in response to business levels.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or quality restaurant environment
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for excellent food
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast- paced kitchen
• Good command of the English language, excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements
