Shop Manager

TJ O'Mahony Oranmore, Deerpark Industrial Estate, Co. Galway, H91 E7C3, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time Permanent Shop Manager to join our Team.

Job Title: Shop Manager

Job Purpose: Responsible for the overall daily operations of the shop, managing sales ensuring efficiency and profitability. Coordinating the staff and ensuring customers have an exceptional shopping experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Buying, purchasing and merchandising for the Shop

Working with the Regional and Branch Manager to set quarterly Branch targets

Involvement in the development of Store strategies to raise the customer pool, expand Store traffic and optimize profitability

Managing all Internal Sales Staff

Meeting sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to Store staff

Working with the staff to set quarterly and monthly targets

Maintain outstanding Store conditions and visual merchandising standards

Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits

Liaising with Suppliers re FOC Stock

Oversight and involvement of Stock/Inventory, ordering, recording, and managing inventory

Controlling stock/inventory to ensure sufficient stock, daily and weekly counts, rotated and changed by season, shop specials or sales

Managing loss prevention through security requirements and monitoring strategies, auditing paperwork and inventory levels and appropriately handling broken or damaged merchandise

Ensuring the shop is adequately stocked, clean, and visually appealing

Handling customer complaints, if any

Managing of Key Accounts

Ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service

Management of External Sales

Driving Sales

Involvement in hiring, training, supervising and evaluating of staff performance

Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures

Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations

Shop Manager duties as needed

Requirements:

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Customer management skills

Able to ensure a smooth operation and maximum profitability for the shop

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday - Saturday)
