Yard Supervisor

TJ O' Mahony Arklow, Yellow Lane, Knockanrahan Lower, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 YT71, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent, Yard Supervisor to join our Team

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the yard team.

Ensure customer orders are picked, prepared and loaded correctly.

Receive, check and store incoming deliveries.

Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stocktakes.

Ensure the yard is clean, organised and safe at all times.

Operate forklifts and yard equipment safely, where qualified.

Ensure Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed.

Work closely with the Branch Manager, sales team and drivers to ensure excellent customer service.

Assist with training and supporting yard staff.

Report damaged goods, equipment issues and safety concerns promptly.

Experience & Skills

Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or builders' providers environment.

Previous supervisory or team-lead experience.

Good knowledge of building materials and yard operations.

Forklift licence

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Customer-focused, reliable and safety-conscious.

Ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment.

Have held / hold a provisional/full drivers Licence
