Role Description The Contract Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Galway and is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple traffic management contracts. Daily tasks include managing contract execution from planning through completion, coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. The role involves monitoring project timelines, budgets, and resources, preparing and reviewing contractual documentation, and resolving issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner. The Contract Manager will also support tender preparation, contribute to pricing and scope definition, and maintain accurate records and reports for ongoing and completed projects. Collaboration with operations, logistics, and safety personnel is essential to ensure efficient and compliant traffic management solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong contract management skills, including experience with contract administration, negotiation, and compliance.
- Project coordination and planning abilities, including scheduling, resource management, and budget oversight.
- Knowledge of traffic management standards and safety regulations (e.g., Chapter 8 compliance) and willingness to stay current with industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using office and project management software for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
- Relevant experience in construction, civil engineering, traffic management, or a related field; prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
- Formal qualification in business, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is beneficial, along with a strong commitment to health and safety.
