What’s involved:
- Support and enhance production applications, services, and platforms within a large-scale enterprise environment
- Work across development, operations, and product teams to improve reliability, automation, and operational standards
- Monitor and maintain service availability, latency, performance, and overall system health
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, including deployment validation and operational gating
- Use automation and scripting to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across the wider technology stack and drive improvements to mean time to recovery
- Support services through design, capacity planning, launch reviews, deployment, and ongoing production support
- Analyse ITSM activities and identify operational gaps, resiliency concerns, and opportunities for improvement
- Participate in incident response and blameless post-mortems
- Work with global teams across multiple geographies and time zones
- Contribute to an AI-focused programme supporting the development and deployment of enterprise AI and data platforms
What you need:
- 3+ years' experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a similar role
- Strong experience with Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring, observability, and production support
- Strong scripting experience with Unix/Shell and Python, alongside SQL
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, particularly Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory and/or Chef
- Experience supporting and deploying AI, machine learning, data platforms, or large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with automation, pipeline management, software design, and production troubleshooting
- Experience with technologies such as Apache NiFi, XLR, or similar enterprise tooling would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, including reliability, monitoring, incident management, automation, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across development, operations, product, and business teams
- Fintech or financial services experience would be highly advantageous
- Degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
