This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic with experience working on construction, agricultural, quarry or heavy plant machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of mobile plant and equipment both on-site and in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mobile plant and heavy machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on sites.
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
- Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Fitter, Agricultural Mechanic or similar.
- Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery.
- Electrical fault-finding experience would be an advantage.
- Full driving licence required
- Ability to work independently and manage on-site breakdowns.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
