ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, People Operations, is responsible for driving operational excellence across all core HR processes and systems. This role oversees the full spectrum of People Operations including HRIS, data governance, payroll oversight, compliance, service delivery, and process optimization, ensuring that global operations are reliable, scalable, and grounded in strong governance. In addition to leading operational infrastructure, this role also provides strategic oversight of Afiniti’s total rewards programs.

Sitting at the center of People Operations and Total Rewards, this leader ensures that Afiniti’s people processes are reliable, compliant, and data driven, and that our compensation practices remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with business priorities across all geographies. The Director partners closely Finance, Legal, and regional People leaders to deliver seamless operations and a unified global rewards framework.

This role will build and strengthen global frameworks across HRIS, data quality, payroll governance, vendor management, compliance and reporting, continuously improving processes and technology to reduce complexity and increase efficiency. In total rewards, this role leads global compensation cycles, incentive programs, and rewards governance.

The Director, People Operations brings a strong operational mindset, deep analytical capability, experience upskilling tools and systems, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast paced, global environment. Ultimately, this role ensures that People Operations and Total Rewards function as strategic enablers, supporting Afiniti’s ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent worldwide.

What will be your key deliverablesGlobal People Operations, Data & Analytics

  • Reliable, scalable global People Operations delivery, ensuring accurate and timely execution of payroll, benefits administration, and core employee lifecycle processes across all regions.
  • Standardized global People Operations processes and documentation, including defined service models, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Strong global compliance and risk controls across employment practices, payroll governance, and people data privacy, in partnership with Legal and regional stakeholders.
  • Effective vendor governance across payroll, benefits, and People Operations providers, with clear accountability for service quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • High-quality, well-governed People data, with clear ownership, controls, and privacy standards supporting compensation, payroll, benefits, and reporting needs.
  • A unified, trusted People reporting and analytics framework that delivers timely, accurate workforce, cost, and operational insights to senior leaders.
  • Actionable People Analytics insights that inform reward decisions, workforce planning, and operational improvements.
  • Continuous process and technology improvements that reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and increase efficiency and scalability of People Operations.
  • Experience with top-tier HRIS solutions, including implementation, is desired.

Global Rewards (Compensation, Benefits & Incentives)

  • Own and modify based on business need Afiniti’s global total rewards strategy aligned to Afiniti’s business priorities, growth plans, and talent philosophy, with documented principles and governance.
  • Improve our global compensation frameworks, including:
  • Base pay structures and geographic differentials
  • Annual salary review and promotion governance
  • Variable pay and bonus cycle design and execution
  • Complete regular, credible market benchmarking outputs that inform compensation and benefits decisions across regions and roles, ensuring ongoing market competitiveness.
  • Facilitate robust financial models and forecasts for all reward programs, integrated into annual budgeting and long-range planning in partnership with Finance.
  • Ensure our reward policies, guidelines, and decision frameworks are understood and used consistently by leaders and People Partners to support fair, data-driven pay decisions.
  • Be a trusted executive and stakeholder partner for complex reward matters, including pay equity, competitive positioning, and exception management.

Who you are

You are an experienced People Operations leader with expertise in building scalable, compliant, and data-driven people operations in global organizations. You bring strong capabilities across People Operations, people systems, people data and analytics, compliance, service delivery, and total rewards, with a focus on operational excellence, governance, and continuous improvement. You are a trusted partner to senior leaders, Finance, and Legal, and thrive in fast-paced environments where strategy and execution go hand in hand.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in People Operations, Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, in a global environment
  • Experience managing global payroll governance and multi-region People Operations
  • High analytical capability with strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with data
  • Ability to influence cross-functional leaders and operate effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong expertise in total rewards design, benchmarking, analytics, and financial modelling
  • Strong planning, project management, and process design skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading global or distributed teams
