About the role

Alchelyst is a client solutions and infrastructure partner for private markets asset managers. Purpose-built for the expanding demands and sophistication of global private markets, the firm offers a comprehensive managed service offering that can support GPs, private wealth funds and investors. Alchelyst has offices in the US, Ireland, UK, Luxembourg and India.

We're seeking an Investor Services Associate to join our Transfer Agency team in Wexford. You'll cover end-to-end investor services operations across alternative investment fund structures, including onboarding, AML/KYC, dealing, cash processing, reconciliations and investor reporting, making sure tasks are done accurately and on time, in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. We're looking for someone with three or more years of investor services experience who enjoys working in a hands-on, control-focused environment within a regulated framework.

What You'll Do

Day-to-Day Transfer Agency Operations

  • Execute and control daily transfer agency (TA) activities: investor onboarding, AML/KYC reviews, subscriptions, redemptions, switches, payment processing, cash and bank reconciliations, and investor record maintenance.
  • Ensure tasks meet cut-off times, procedures, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and client queries, escalating when needed.
  • Work within Alchelyst's global operating model, collaborating with colleagues across locations and time zones, including handovers and shared processes, to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

AML/KYC & Regulatory Controls

  • Perform and review AML/KYC due diligence in line with applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) laws and regulations, sanctions requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain complete, up-to-date documentation within TA systems.
  • Support ongoing monitoring and remediation actions.

Operational Risk & Controls

  • Apply a strong control mindset, including four-eyes checks, validation controls, and reconciliations.
  • Identify operational errors, breaches, or process gaps and support corrective actions.
  • Support the maintenance of written procedures and adherence to documented workflows.

Systems & Data

  • Operate and maintain transfer agency and investor record-keeping systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Internal & Client Interaction

  • Act as an operational point of contact for internal stakeholders, fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers.
  • Respond to client and investor queries relating to transactions, documentation, and reporting.

Reporting & MI Support

  • Assist in preparing operational metrics, including transaction volumes, AML/KYC statuses, reconciliations, and issue tracking.
  • Support periodic reporting required by internal management, compliance, or clients.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of hands-on Transfer Agency / Investor Services experience within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong operational knowledge of investor onboarding, AML/KYC, dealing, cash processing, reconciliations, and investor reporting.
  • Experience with transfer agency platforms and a strong focus on data quality and controls.
  • Working knowledge of AML/CFT requirements and regulatory expectations for investor services.
  • Ability to work independently, manage daily workloads, and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, risk-aware, and comfortable in a hands-on, transaction-focused role.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within 90 Days: Develop a strong understanding of our TA procedures and systems, with the ability to manage day-to-day activities with guidance and support.
  • Within 6 Months: Independently manage daily TA activities, AML/KYC reviews and reconciliations, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Within 12 Months: Become a trusted point of contact for client and stakeholder queries, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Ongoing: Maintain consistent adherence to procedures and ensure documentation is accurate, complete and audit-ready.
