AMF Consulting is partnering with an innovative and rapidly scaling medtech organisation to appoint a Head of People during a pivotal stage of growth.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the people strategy, culture, and organisational infrastructure of a company transitioning from development to commercial scale across Ireland and the US.
Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will build and lead the People function while supporting a high-performance, ambitious, and values-driven culture.
The Opportunity
This role will suit an experienced HR leader who enjoys building from the ground up and thrives in fast-paced, scaling environments.
You will operate as both a strategic partner and hands-on leader, helping to shape the employee experience, leadership capability, talent strategy, and organisational design as the business enters its next phase of international growth.
Key Responsibilities_Talent, Culture & Engagement_
- Lead the organisation’s Talent and Culture strategy
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and leadership development programmes
- Foster a connected and high-performing culture across Irish and US teams
- Partner with senior leadership on organisational effectiveness and people planning
Performance, Reward & Development
- Develop and enhance performance management frameworks
- Lead compensation, benchmarking, and reward programmes
- Manage salary review and bonus cycles
- Support employee equity and share option communication initiatives
- Build career progression and development frameworks
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Develop scalable recruitment strategies to support growth
- Lead onboarding and integration programmes for local and international hires
- Manage recruitment partners and direct sourcing activity
- Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience initiatives
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Irish and US employment legislation
- Develop HR policies, procedures, and scalable people processes
- Maintain HR documentation and governance standards
- Support organisational readiness for future growth and investment activity
Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Senior Management Team
- Present people insights, engagement data, and talent metrics to leadership stakeholders
- Build and develop the People function as the organisation scales
Experience Required
- 8+ years’ HR experience, including leadership-level experience
- Proven track record supporting organisational growth and scaling
- Experience building or transforming People functions within fast-paced environments
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment law with exposure to US employment practices advantageous
- Experience within medtech, pharma, biotech, or another regulated industry preferred
- Strong commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on capacities
