We are hiring for a leading, established firm in Kilkenny who are seeking an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager to join their growing regional practice at a time of sustained client expansion. You will manage a diverse portfolio of audit and accounts assignments, supervise and mentor junior team members on engagements, and act as a direct point of contact for clients. You will report to the Audit and Accounts Manager while benefiting from regular, direct partner access.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement Delivery: Plan, execute, and finalise audit and accounts assignments across a varied portfolio of clients, including family businesses, owner-managed companies, and not-for-profit organisations.
- Client Relationship Management: Build direct working relationships with clients, becoming a reliable, go-to contact for day-to-day business matters.
- Team Leadership: Supervise trainee and qualified staff on engagements, reviewing workflows and providing proactive, on-the-job coaching.
- Project Management: Manage your own timeline and the time of your team across multiple assignments to meet budgets and deadlines.
- Advisory Support: Assist managers and partners in delivering technical advice to clients, collaborating with the wider specialist teams when needed.
- Professional Growth: Take an active role in your own technical development and champion the career progression of the trainees around you.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to internal initiatives that refine how the team operates and works together.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications: Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience: Two to four years of post-qualification or relevant practice experience specifically across audit and accounts.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and current auditing standards.
- Leadership Capabilities: Proven experience supervising or mentoring junior staff on live engagements.
- Communication: High confidence dealing with clients directly, backed by strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Execution: Highly organised, with the ability to effectively prioritise across multiple live assignments.
