Based in County Dublin, our client is a market-leading retail group seeking a Financial Accountant to join a high-energy team of four. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the role is live due to a successful internal promotion, highlighting the genuine career progression available. You will be entering a fast-paced commercial environment where your work directly influences the business's day-to-day operational success.

The core of this role involves taking ownership of the month-end close process and delivering high-quality financial reporting across multiple retail entities. You will bridge the gap between technical compliance and commercial insight by preparing statutory financial statements (FRS 102), managing year-end audits, and overseeing VAT and tax compliance. Beyond the recurring cycle, you will be expected to provide ad-hoc analysis on stock and margins, while acting as a "process champion" to streamline financial controls.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a strong technical foundation, ideally from a Top 10 practice or a progressive industry background. We are looking for a proactive communicator who can translate complex figures into actionable insights for the wider business. This position is perfect for someone with the drive to eventually lead their own team; you will be supported by a manager who values mentorship and professional development.
