TECHNICAL MANAGER- FMCG

My Client ; a leading Irish FMCG Organisation based in the Munster are now looking for a proven Senior Technical Manager /Head of Technical to join the Business With over 100 people in Head Office; they have experienced strong growth but as important is their strategy/ aim to double in size in the next 5 years ! as they move in to a new category- Trust me ,It will be an exciting time to join the Business!

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and manage the innovation and quality teams across the manufacturing facilities
• Design, implement and maintain best-in-class systems which enable food safety and quality standards to be key strategic pillars for the company
• Protect the business from all food safety risks and manage and evaluate all risks and opportunities to the business
• Implement judgement, vision, management, and leadership within the areas of food safety and manufacturing
• Provide leadership and clear guidance to all business units in the areas of technical and manufacturing governance to ensure that the company’s strategic vision translates into profitable operations.
• Utilise the cross functional expertise and breadth of knowledge of this role to make informed and well-educated decisions for the business
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement within the technical and manufacturing arena
• Ensure the brand values of the business are maintained through the best ethical, integrity and food safety compliance
• Be part of the Senior Leadership Team in generating and implementing the vision and strategic plan for the Company
• As an expert in this field provide mentoring and coaching to the senior leadership team.
• Grow existing strategic customer relationships and develop new strategic customer relationships through a partnership approach

Skills / Qualifications/ Experience:

• 6-10 years FMCG experience in a quality/ Technical position and experience of leading and managing a team.
• HACCP accreditation is a must.
• Strategic and results focused individual with a growth mindset and has a talent for building people and teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is key as you will be expected to build strong relationships with stakeholders within the organization.
