Electrical Design Engineer

🚨 We’re Hiring: Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Water/Wastewater) 🚨

📍 Location: Co. Kilkenny, Ireland (Hybrid - 3 Days onsite & 2 Days Remote)

🕒 Full-time | Permanent

We’re partnering with a leading engineering organisation delivering critical water & wastewater infrastructure projects and are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. 🌍💧

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

⚡ Designing electrical distribution systems (MCCs, MDBs, panels, cabling)

📡 Developing instrumentation & control systems for process plants

🤖 Defining automation architecture (PLC/SCADA systems)

📑 Producing detailed technical designs, schematics & documentation

🤝 Collaborating with clients, suppliers & multidisciplinary teams

🧪 Supporting FAT, commissioning & occasional site activities

🎯 What we’re looking for:

✔️ 5+ years in Site/Plant based Electrical Design Engineering.

✔️ Lighting Design Software tool - Dialux/AMTEC.

✔️ Experience in Water/Wastewater or similar process industries

✔️ Strong knowledge of IEC / European standards

✔️ Proven ability in panel design, schematics & system architecture

✔️ Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
