Arcadis are a seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for a Pharmaceutical assignment located in Kinsale, Cork. This is initially a 12-month contract.Responsibilities
- Develop and issue electrical design deliverables aligned with project scope, schedule, and standards.
- Prepare, review, and maintain electrical documentation and calculations, including single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, layouts, and earthing designs.
- Support preparation of technical specifications, requisitions, and bid evaluations for electrical equipment and installation.
- Review vendor documentation and drawings for compliance with design intent and project standards.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with GMP, IEC/IEEE/ETCI standards, and site-specific practices.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, including RFIs and resolving design queries.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements in all engineering activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering within industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage power distribution, MCCs, lighting, earthing, cable routing, and containment.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements and regulated manufacturing facilities.
- Proficient in Windows environment and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Word, Excel); AutoCAD proficiency is desirable.
