The Opportunity

As An Electrical Engineer At Arup, You Will

  • Work closely with and take guidance from experienced electrical engineers and BIM technicians.
  • Design and calculation of electrical services including electrical distribution, cable containment, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, ICT, security and earthing systems.
  • Work in a BIM environment using Revit and Navisworks to prepare fully co-ordinated 3D design models for projects.
  • Learn and use various design software packages such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Elevate etc. to undertake the tasks above.
  • Implement the appropriate QA procedures for all deliverables and ensure compliance with H&S requirements.
  • Liaise with and work effectively with staff from other disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively in a team environment with a broad cross-section of individuals.

We're looking for students who are currently studying Electrical Engineering or Electrical Services Engineering at bachelors or masters level.
