Shape a future with purpose at Arup in Dublin and Cork. Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world. You see the world through a unique lens and that’s exactly what we need. We embrace how you see things differently – it’s essential for creating a sustainable future. Arup is a global consultancy with advisory and technical expertise across more than 150 disciplines. We guide, plan and design the future of the built environment. Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates to help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities. We have over 600 staff working in Ireland based in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick. Independently owned and independently minded, Arup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment.   The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our Assets Consulting team, leading procurement and contract management assignments across complex infrastructure and transport projects. In this role, you will provide trusted commercial and strategic advice to clients, working with multidisciplinary teams to help procure, manage, and optimise contracts effectively. You will also support the development of junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of the team. As part of Arup’s wider advisory business, you will help clients deliver smarter, more sustainable infrastructure through a collaborative approach that combines technical, commercial, and strategic expertise. As Senior Contract Manager At Arup, You Will

  • Lead contract management and procurement advisory assignments, providing clear and practical advice that helps clients achieve project outcomes.
  • Manage contract administration and performance by monitoring obligations, governance requirements, budgets, timelines, and quality standards to keep delivery on track.
  • Prepare and review procurement and contract documentation, including procurement strategies, tender documents, contract particulars, governance records, and risk registers.
  • Provide contractual guidance to clients and multidisciplinary teams across complex infrastructure and transport programmes, helping align delivery with project objectives.
  • Build relationships and contribute beyond project delivery by managing stakeholders, supporting junior colleagues, and assisting with business development, proposals, and wider advisory work.

Does this role inspire you? We're looking for someone who is passionate about Contract Management . We also value:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement and contract management, ideally gained on transport or infrastructure projects, with the ability to lead delivery across complex project environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Contract Management, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong experience with Public Works and NEC forms of contract, including practical knowledge of contract administration, contractual obligations, and performance management.
  • Proven public procurement experience, including procurement strategy development, tender preparation, and tender evaluation, with a sound understanding of governance, risk, and compliant procurement processes.
  • Well-developed commercial and consulting skills, including stakeholder engagement, cost control, risk management, and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders in multidisciplinary teams.
